May 24, 2008 Rich and I have just returned from a trip across the country! We headed out west with the kids to visit McMinnville, OR for their annual UFO Festival. Wow, what a lot of fun! I finally got to meet Regan Lee and her wonderful husband, Jim, in person. They are both such nice people, and while I knew that Regan is a talented writer from reading her many blogs, I discovered that Jim is also a very accomplished artist. We tried to persuade them to put some of his paintings on a website, so hopefully you'll be able to see them soon as well. Tim Hills, official historian for McMenamins (sponsor of the UFO Festival) was also wonderful, as was everyone else we met in Oregon. What a breathtakingly beautiful place! (I'm hoping to get Tim on the show soon to talk about his involvement as a source for a book on hauntings in Oregon. Watch here for details!) Then we flew from Portland
to Los Angeles to spend a few
days with the MUFON groups in
LA and Orange County. I want to

I always enjoy talking with him -- he's one of those people who can make me come away from a conversation feeling like I just got a degree in his area of expertise. Yet, he is always entertaining and the time flies by. Friday, January 22 , 2010 Nearly every time I attend a UFO conference (and let me tell you, folks, that's a lot), sooner or later the questions come up: what is the future of this field? Friday, December 18 , 2009 Guest: Christopher O'Brien Chris O'Brien has been a well-known figure in the field of anomalous research for many years, beginning with his work on cattle mutilations back in the early nineties. Since then, he has expanded his scope to include many other types of paranormal phenomena while maintaining a focus on the American Southwest. He has amassed a huge amount of information on Native American myths and legends which many of us never see. Guest: James Clarkson Last weekend I attended the UFO Crash Retrieval Conference in Las Vegas, and was privileged to hear several excellent presentations. One was delivered by career investigator James Clarkson concerning June Crain, a woman who worked in a secure area in the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. June told Clarkson of the amazing things she saw there in 1947 following the Roswell UFO crash and asked him to make her story public. Guest: Richard Dolan Eight years after the horrifying events, there are still many questions about exactly what happened that day. Who planned and orchestrated the attacks, who carried them out and how, the reasons behind it...there are many different possible explanations. Unfortunately, there are still many inconsistencies in the official account of these events, and many unanswered questions. Tonight, in honor of all those who lost their lives in the attacks, I'll talk with historian Richard Dolan in an attempt to isolate fact from speculation. We not only lost many, many people that day, all of whom were someone's friends and family members, but we also lost a level of innocence as a nation. John Keel passed away this week at age 79 after a long illness. He was probably best known for his 1975 book, The Mothman Prophecies, which was later made into a film starring Richard Gere. The book detailed Keel's experiences while researching creatures sightings in Point Pleasant, WV, in the mid-sixties, a case which culminated in the disastrous collapse of the Silver Bridge over the Ohio River and the deaths of many members of the small Point Pleasant community. In response to requests from my listeners, but also because it was something I wanted myself as well, I invited Mr. Keel to interview with me on Through the Keyhole. Unfortunately, toward the end of his life he did not give many interviews at all, and I was never able to arrange it. This week I'd like to talk about this unique man and his even more unique work in his fields of research, which encompassed stage magic, UFOs, paranormal activity, and cryptozoology as well. He was a friend of the late Ivan Sanderson, who is also well known for his matter-of-fact approach to researching such outre subjects, and both men were renowned for their unusual yet logical theories concerning the phenomena they studied.

Guest: Mark Nesbitt, author of several books on the hauntings at the Gettysburg battlefield One of the bloodiest and most decisive battles of the Civil War was fought at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Mark Nesbitt worked for the National Park Service as a Ranger/Historian in Gettysburg, PA for five years and then became a Licensed Battlefield Guide. His job with the National Park Service provided him not only the opportunity to spend time in all of the historic buildings located in the Gettysburg National Park, but to actually live in four of the historic houses. Living in Gettysburg since 1971 has provided him with a unique “insider” perspective. His published works include, but

I had the pleasure of attending Giorgio's presentation at the Culture of Contact Conference last month, and it was breathtaking. Giorgio has been called the modern Indiana Jones, and not without reason. Paradigm Research Group (PRG) project to put one million letters,
faxes and emails into the offices of the President Elect calling for
an end to the Truth Embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence
engaging the human race.
These are my comments, not Steve's. We discussed this during the show on Oct. 3 and he agreed with the idea, though he did not want to advocate any violent behaviour, as might be inferred by my promotion of what is admittedly a very violent film. I maintain that while we don't need to blow up any buildings, we should take to heart the message of the film, which is that we need to stand up, stand together, and take back control of our country. Writing these letters is one way to do that.

Guests: Richard Dolan and Peter Robbins All three of us have just returned from the Roswell UFO Festival, so I'm sure we'll be comparing notes and sharing our impressions of that event. Rich and I both presented, and Peter likes to point out that for the first time, he was actually paid NOT to speak (he was the Master of Ceremonies.) Some controversial subjects were raised, such as the role of religious belief in preventing or stopping an alien abduction, and also the imminence (or not) of full disclosure by the government of all they've been keeping from us concerning UFOs over the past sixty years or so. There will most likely be some very lively discussion this week, so be sure to access the chat room for this one.

Colleen Clements is a brilliant scholar who
has been persecuted for her groundbreaking work in ancient culture.
For two decades, Clements taught philosophy at the Rochester
Institute of Technology. In 2006, she published her latest work,
The Order of the Dragon, a bold re-interpretation of the origins
of human civilization. Unfortunately for her, the book angered
conservative Christian elements within her university, and the next
thing she knew, she had been fired.
Arguing that we should take ancient writers at their word, Clements suggests that early humans were "not alone" in the creation of our civilization. While the theme reminds one of Zecharia Sitchin, Clements approaches her topic differently, working from academic and scientific sources to create possibly the first true history of the culture that created modern civilization. This she calls the Dragon Culture, which thrived prior to 35,000 BC in northern Eurasia. She then traces that culture through the ages, through Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Balkans, Languedoc, the Freemasons, and into the present. Order of the Dragon is a fascinating study that deserves our attention, as does the unconscionable treatment of a true scholar by a hidebound academic establishment.
